The Picasso exhibition explored an unprecedented variety of works spanning many years of the artist’s later life, illustrating Picasso’s versatility in a diversity of media.
Consequently a significant reorganisation of the gallery spaces was proposed by the curator and architect to create interlinking areas for sculpture, pottery and painting.
The detailed design of the new display spaces was exquisitely considered and meticulously executed to provide a refined backdrop befitting an event of such
importance.
The exhibition and the installation opened to critical acclaim.
“Better installed than most museum shows… beautifully redesigned galleries.”
Adrian Searle, The Guardian (2010)
“This is a brilliantly mounted, gloriously rich and idiosyncratic exhibition”
Mark Hudson, The Telegraph (2010)
“Museum-quality Picasso show”
Jackie Wullschlager, Financial Times (2010)
